Gerardo Dominguez, CEA Friend and Akumalian, originally from Argentina, will be running in the Buenos Aires Marathon this October, and has generously offered to use this event to fundraise for CEA. He proposes to help raise money to buy a weather station for our lab. Our goal is to raise $2,000 USD for the station equipment and computer.

To add to our environmental research in the Akumal region, CEA will install the weather station at its lab. This equipment will add important data to all scientific research carried out here, helping us to better understand ecosystem functions and to provide input for improved natural resource management.

Includes Vantage Pro2 console, integrated sensor suite, mounting hardware, and AC-power adapter. Integrated sensor suite includes rain collector, temperature and humidity sensors, anemometer, 40' (12m) anemometer cable, solar radiation sensor, UV sensor, and sensor mounting shelf. A 100' (30m) cable connects the sensor suite to the console.

Computer and software for data storage and management will also be purchased.
