TURTLE WALKS
As part of our environmental education work, Centro Ecológico Akumal (CEA) invites you to join us in this experience.
Learn about these animals and how you can help us to protect them. CEA does not offer commercial tours nor have agreements with local operators. Akumal beaches during nesting season are restricted by law.
CEA is the only organization with permission to work with these creatures in the area and to take 10 people with us each night.
Be careful of tour operators or public transportation businesses that offer you this service.

Season:

• May--October 2011 -- Monday through Friday -- 9 PM to Midnight
• Groups limited to 10 people -- NO RESERVATIONS in advance
• Suggested Donation: Adults: $15 USD Kids: $7 USD

We ask that you please:

• Wear sneakers or sturdy walking shoes (no sandals).
• Be prepared to walk up to 3 miles without the use of flashlights.
• Refrain from using mosquito repellent, perfume or cologne. (Long sleeves/pants recommended)
• Bring a water bottle and bag to collect any trash you see on the beach.
